The Riverside Community Health Center of Burlington
In 2012, I was privileged to design the Healing Garden at the Riverside Community
Health Center of Burlington. This meaningful collaboration between OWGD, Riverside
Community Health Center, and Gardener’s Supply paid homage to the original building by
incorporating original fieldstone from the foundation into a medicinal herb spiral and
sitting wall. The resulting Healing Garden will provide patients and staff with a peaceful
and beautiful outdoor space that promotes health and wellness.

Hunt Middle School, Burlington, VT
In 2012 I was asked by the Hunt Middle School principal and PTO to assist in planning out
the renovation of their foundation gardens and to design a new outdoor classroom. I was
impressed by the dedication and hard work of the PTO members and school community.
Together we transformed the barren landscape into a colorful and inviting garden. Most
importantly, the current and future students of Hunt will enjoy a vibrant and educational
landscape rooted in a sense of place.
